What is SOFM About?

 

Who is it for?

If you have a heart to go where the Gospel has not yet gone or the Chinese speaking world specifically but just don’t know how to prepare or go, School of Frontier Missions (SOFM) Taiwan is for you. SOFM is the advanced level of missions training in YWAM so participants are required to graduate from our entry level course, DTS, first.

Purpose

SOFM Taiwan is designed to train participants to engage unreached people groups in the Chinese-speaking world and Asia. Individuals lives in a cross-cultural setting locally, putting lectures into practice among the Taiwanese community and then goes to the unreached areas of the world to further apply what they’ve learned.

Content

Key training areas include cross-cultural communication and ministry, church planting, multicultural team building, missiology, and more. All topics are taught by cross-cultural missionaries with specific areas of expertise.All classes and activities are bi-lingual in English and Mandarin with the lecture phase lasting 12 weeks.
